oceanic groundbreaking

As an eager, optimistic resident of Pompano (and as a Realtor wanting to keep on top of things ), I attended the groundbreaking of one of the MANY projects underway in The Pompano Beach Fishing Village and in our blossoming city. Accompanied by my dear friend (and top condo insurance rep!) Amanda Harvey, we were able to speak with members of the Pompano CRA and Commissioner Rex Hardin, for quite some time.
I could go on and on with all the things they spoke about but I will try to wrap it into a nutshell for you. I am sure that many of you are aware of these projects, but I have some updates; and I have to say that listening to them, as we stood in the middle of the construction, amidst all those people, things just seemed to become more REAL- I literally got goosebumps!
-Oceanic (the groundbreaking was the reason for the event) promises to be the talk of all of South Florida with it’s cutting edge, striking design and the sweeping views of the ocean and Pier- not to mention that the food from the family owned company is rumored to be DELICIOUS!
-Pompano Beach House is a few short months from opening, and will serve casual food with that beautiful ocean as a backdrop. (It’s the structure that is already underway across from the parking garage.)
-Harbor Restaurant is being built on the southeast side of the intracoastal bridge, by the same folks that own Madison’s in Boca. Elegant, waterfront, with seating both indoors and outside along the intracoastal. They are looking at a year until completion.
-The Atlantic bridge is going to have a complete overhaul. The new project includes boardwalks, a new tinder house, and sails to unify the design with the new parking garage.
-The new Hilton will be a boutique structure that will have suites that will allow for extended stays for vacationing (or staycationing!) families. They will have pet-friendly rooms too!
-Proposed trolley will come from Atlantic and operate in a loop around the beach, so people won’t need cars to visit.
-Kilwins and BurgerFi (by the parking garage) should be up in running in the next few months.
Rumor has it that we should also be hearing about improvements/redevelopment of the plaza where the Brewery is on Atlantic.
I hope I covered everything that we spoke about, but if you know of other things happening, please let us know.
I don’t know about you, but I think these folk are doing a fantastic job!
I am tickled pink with excitement!

I have passion for connecting, and for people. I thrive on putting those passions together by helping people just like you connect to houses, to the communities that they belong to- and with each other. Born in Alabama and raised in South America, I have relocated quite a bit, so I know all about what it means to move. Upsizing, downsizing, or finding an entirely new place to live- I have been there. Fluency in English and Spanish have been very useful throughout the years, as has having lived as an expat. I know what it is like to be new to an area. If you are looking to buy or sell real estate in our area, I hope you will consider allowing me to be a part of your journey.
